We’re launching with a meta-game so brilliantly chaotic, so utterly baa-rmy, that it could only be born in the neon-drenched, rain-slicked sprawl of a wargaming club. Welcome to the Sheep Runner Mini-Game.
The Baseline Test: Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It
The rules are simpler than a Grot’s battle plan, but the execution will require the tactical genius of a primarch.
- The Gift: Upon arrival and registration as a founding member of the Hot Dice Games Club, you will not just receive our gratitude. You will be entrusted with a single, miniature sheep. Guard it with your life. It is your new precious.
- The Implanted Memory: Before your first game begins, you must give this sheep to one of your units to safeguard. A mighty Chapter Master? A lowly Gretchin? A humble Guardsman? The choice is yours. This unit is now a “Sheep Runner.”
- The Life of a Sheep Runner: If (or when) your designated unit meets its glorious end, it does not die quietly. It drops the sheep. That little lump of resin (or plastic) is now a lootable objective on the battlefield.
- The Hunt is On: Any enemy unit can now attempt to snatch your sheep by moving into base contact with it. They can charge, they can advance, they can simply saunter over. The means are irrelevant. The prize is everything. That sheep now belongs to them.
- Time to Die… Or Not: The game continues. Sheep will change hands. Alliances will be forged and shattered over synthetic fleece. The sound of bleating will haunt your dreams.
The Prize: More Than Just Tears in Rain
At the end of the night, the chaos subsides. The final whistle blows. This is your moment.
Any player who has at least one sheep in their possession can register their name in our sacred Table of Champions. You will have proven yourself a master Sheep Runner.
But the real prize lies ahead. Every single player who submits a sheep on opening night will be entered into a prize draw to be held on Wednesday, October 8th.
And what is the prize? You will win the honour, the glory, the sheer street-cred of owning the very first Hot Dice Games Club T-shirt! This isn’t just merch; it’s a relic. A testament to your ability to protect the flock while others see their dreams of woolly victory lost, like… well, you know.
